Territory jobs go global: UK and Ireland worker events set for April

Published

The Northern Territory Government is taking Territory job opportunities directly to skilled workers in the United Kingdom and Ireland through a series of in‑person information sessions in April 2026.

The Work & Live in Australia’s Northern Territory events will be held in Belfast (20 April), Cork (22 April), Liverpool (28 April) and Leeds (30 April).

The sessions will showcase the Northern Territory as a place of opportunity, highlighting:

  • career pathways
  • lifestyle benefits
  • skilled migration options for prospective workers.

For more information, go to the Australia's Northern Territory website.

Industry representatives from the Chamber of Commerce NT, ICT Industry Association of the NT, Motor Trades Association NT, HIA Northern Territory, NT Health and Hospitality NT will also attend to engage directly with jobseekers and promote opportunities across priority sectors.

Following on from these events in the UK and Ireland, our team will also deliver in‑person international worker events in South Africa in May, Melbourne in June and New Zealand in September this year.

These events form part of our Global Worker Attraction Program, an ongoing initiative to attract skilled workers to support Territory businesses and drive economic growth.

Territory businesses are encouraged to upload job vacancies now to WorkerConnect, to ensure hard‑to‑fill roles are visible to jobseekers attending the sessions.

WorkerConnect is the Northern Territory’s local digital jobs board. It is a free, practical tool that helps Territory businesses find and connect with active jobseekers across every industry and region. With more than one million searches clocked up in September 2025, WorkerConnect is the only Territory‑based alternative to national paid jobs platforms, which is supported by a growing community of more than 900 employers and 16,000+ jobseekers.

If you haven’t used WorkerConnect, now is the time. It takes just a few minutes to create an employer profile, post vacancies, search CVs and filter candidates based on skills, experience and work rights preferences.
