The Northern Territory Government is delivering a $4.4 million investment to help Territory businesses improve safety, protect their workers and contribute to a growing economy.
The Safer Business, Stronger Economy and Better Lifestyle Package is the next evolution of the Biz Secure program – expanding its reach, streamlining access and delivering more support for Territory businesses.
- The Safer Business Program gives eligible businesses access to up to $10,000 in a 50:50 co-contribution to undertake preventive security works.
- The Safer Precincts Program provides competitive grant funding to business precincts for strategic projects on common property.
To make the program more accessible, the mandated safety audit requirement has been removed.
A new online business safety and security checklist is now available to help business owners identify risks, assess their current arrangements, and understand what improvements may be needed better to protect their staff, customers and premises.
