New program to boost business profitability and performance
Businesses wanting to increase their profitability, and performance can now access free and low-cost training under the Territory Government’s Flexible Skills and Training Response program (FSTRP).
Adequately trained staff are essential for businesses success however, many Territory businesses face barriers to access training such as eligibility requirements, cost to attend training, or impractical delivery times of the training.
The FSTRP is targeted to overcome these barriers by delivering affordable training to businesses that caters to their circumstances.
The program includes a series of face-top-face workshops designed to address priority skills development and training needs for small to medium enterprises (SME) in the Territory.
Seven providers will deliver workshops under the program, they include:
- Captovate – AI and automation for small business
- Moore Australia (NT) Pty Ltd – financial literacy for small business owners (urban and regional settings)
- Personal Protection Strategies – de-escalation training
- Village Well – crime prevention through environmental design
- Business Enterprise Centre of the NT (BECNT) - financial literacy for small business owners (remote)
- Business Enterprise Centre of the NT (BECNT) – ICT systems training
- Key Concepts Consulting – tender writing and procurement skills
Workshops are targeted to business owners and senior managers of SMEs based in the Territory.
The training providers will deliver workshops in every city centre and a number of remote communities across the Territory over the next 6 to 12 months.
All training will be provided at free or near free cost.
