Waste and Recycling

The Waste and Recycling Industry Association (NT) (WRINT) has released an independent industry report identifying the economic contribution of the waste and recycling sector in the Northern Territory.

The industry provides infrastructure and services to businesses and the community in the collection, processing, recycling and disposal of waste.

The industry is an important contributor to the Northern Territory economy in terms of services, employment, and economic return and:

• directly supports 44 businesses
• provides 986 jobs; and
• contributes $199.5 million towards the economy
